Overview:

Lupeol is a five-ring trianthyl compound that can be extracted from a variety of fruits and vegetables such as strawberries and mangoes, as well as Chinese herbal medicine and other plants. It has pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammation, antioxidant, and promotion of wound healing. It is also used in pancreatic cancer and breast cancer. It shows anti-cancer activity in tumors such as prostate cancer, melanoma, etc., and is clinically used in the treatment of leukemia, liver cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer and other diseases.

Physical and chemical properties:

Needle crystal. Melting point 215℃. Boiling point 488.1°C. Optical rotation +27.2° (c=4.8. Chloroform). Density: 0.977g/cm3, insoluble in water, miscible with ether, benzene, petroleum ether and hot ethanol.
